Frequently Asked Questions
What does this tool do?
It scans any text you paste — articles, HTML source, emails, documents, or code — and extracts all HTTP and HTTPS URLs it finds. Duplicate URLs are automatically removed.
Can it extract URLs from HTML source?
Yes. Paste raw HTML and it will find all http:// and https:// URLs in href attributes, src attributes, and any other text. Note: it only finds full URLs starting with http/https, not relative paths.
Does it extract non-HTTP URLs like FTP or mailto?
This tool focuses on HTTP and HTTPS URLs. FTP, mailto, file://, and other protocols are not extracted. For a broader extraction, use a more specialized tool.
Is my text stored anywhere?
No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never sent to Irreva's servers or any third party.
Does it extract relative URLs?
The tool extracts absolute URLs starting with http:// or https://. Relative URLs (/page, ../image.png) are not extracted since they require the base URL to be meaningful.
Can it extract URLs from PDF content?
If you paste the text content of a PDF (copied text, not the file), the tool will extract any URLs present in that text. For PDFs with embedded hyperlinks not visible in plain text, use the PDF to Text converter first.
