Photos → JPG or WebP. Graphics with transparency → PNG or WebP. Modern websites → WebP with JPG fallback if needed.
Rule of thumb
- JPG: photos, email, universal sharing
- PNG: logos, screenshots, lossless
- WebP: web performance, smaller files
